This week has been full of works and wonders!!! (May 26)

I need to figure out a better way to start these posts. You would think after how-ever-many-months months, I would come up with something better than “the time is flying or this week...” but I haven't. So this week.....

I have seen SO MANY MIRACLES. Sister Smith and I are working so hard on the musical and it just seems to be falling perfectly in place. This week we went up to Munich to meet with the Piano player and get everything straightened out. Afterwards, I felt so good, because finally, we had enough we could run a program and then it would just be improving from there. Well, friends and family, this musical is going to be great! I am so excited for it I just hope a lot of people come! Its a bit far from our ward, but hopefully some members will come to support us :) The fact that this was all put together in a matter of 4 weeks is a miracle.....

Also, I am just working over here with the most prepared person of my LIFE. So this week, we have our appointment and she has a list of all her activities to report on. NOT ONLY DOES SHE BRING HER OWN JOINT TEACHES, she also FOLLOWS-UP on herself!!!! Amazing. She received the RS manual last week, which has weekly lessons since the beginning of the year,  and has already caught up to where we are reading now. She’s researched everything on LDS.org and has even watched ALL the District Videos.... Ja, she would like to see her teaching record, awkward. But she LOVED IT. All she said was she will never be one of those type of investigators that don’t come to church or keep their commitments. She’s amazing! On Sunday, I was busy talking to members while she was integrating herself and her family in the ward, I see out of the corner of my eye someone caring a HUGE stack of books. It turns out to be our investigator with every all years of RS manuals, and any other book the Library had to offer..... It is amazing.

This week we did something really cool with our district. We all picked a problem we are having, one person texts their problem to everyone in the district and the district takes some personal study studying Preach My Gospel to answer their question. IT IS AMAZING. We are helping each other in such a cool way. It’s been a great way to unify and a great way to really care about someone else. Actually every problem we have had also relates to a problem I have on some scale. IT'S GENIUS. I love it.

This week we surprise visited a member. I learn something EVERYDAY, but this day I learned a lot. She informed us that if we want a happy home, we need to clean our windows. She actually gave us a ton of advice. I was just thinking how cool it is that we are learning so much for every part of our lives, spiritual and temporal.

This week has been full of works and wonders!!! I love every minute of it!

Heavenly Father is really showing us how it works (May 19)

Hallo Familie!
I must say, Augsburg is a city of miracles!!!! :)
The family we are teaching is progressing faster than we can keep up! This week, as we showed up to the appointment, we found that she had invited a friend to attend the lessons with her family. It was WONDERFUL.

I can't even comprehend how anyone cannot understand this work is the Lords, because He is just over here showing us miracles.
This week a member called us and invited us over, and invited a friend over. Then today, we had family home evening with a member and her non-member boyfriend. This is really good for this part of the world.

Heavenly Father is really showing us how it works. I just love how much the work is progressing in BAYERN. We went to a festival this week to help members of our district out. The church had a booth that invited people to the church (the same street as the festival! how cool) There, people were able to learn about how they can do genealogy and start their own family tree. It was so cool to talk with people. This one couple in particular was just so shocked with how much information I had, thank you dad and family! It's so cool to share something so near and dear to me with others.

I am really impressed with how many little miracles I am seeing every day.
I love this work.

Your wish is my command. Here are some photos of food.
One, sweet BBQ. The people in Bayern BBQ more than anyone!!!
Two, I made some maltaschen!
Three, Spätzle. I am determined to buy a Spätzle maker before I come home
These 3 are very common, sometimes weekly occurring meals. :)
But today we had the cutest brotzeit. bread time! Just some good cheese, meat, and bread.

Yeah the food here is great!

Love ya!

Mother's Day Miracles (May 12)

Today, I am so grateful for nature. Sister Smith and I had a great run in the sun, in the spring showers, in the hail, and in the pouring rain. LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. It’s so great to be able to spend some time in the true green of God’s creations. I am so grateful for how beautiful this world is.

The most memorable appointment of this week was with an investigator that just returned from her vacation. She hadn’t smoked the whole vacation. She told us she had 3 more boxes of cigarettes, and then she'd be done. Well we just said can we just take them and you be done now? She said yes. HOW AWESOME! But, she made us promise not to throw them away and to instead give them to someone.... so now I'm having this internal debate, because their is no way I’m giving that poison to anyone, but I don’t want to break a promise.... so they are sitting in our apartment.... oh boy.

Another highlight from this week was a lesson with a who isn’t very active in the church. She told us about how her deceased dad who has not been through the temple. She has been reminded to do so many times, but hasn’t known exactly what to do. Well, her dads name is already in the temple. :) WHAT A WONDERFUL MIRACLE. He has been waiting for 50 plus years.

I had a really great appointment packed week. It’s been great meeting with members, less active members, and people who are interested to know more about the church.

We had a family come to church on Sunday. It was amazing. They are CHANGING their lives. It’s amazing to see the progress they are making and the decisions they are making. I love seeing people change. It's hands down the most rewarding part of the mission.

Sunday was just a great day. Not only did a new family come to church, but I got to sing with all the primary kids on stage! Oh, and I got to Skype my wonderful family!! How blessed am I?!

I love this work. :)

Germans know how to grill, just in case you don't believe me, here is our bishop :)

Have a great week! Love you!

Here comes the BOOM (May 5)

This week, the München and Stuttgart zones got together and were able to hear from Elder Dyches. That was cool, I just love how much he talked about President and Sister Miles. Although everyone thinks their mission president is the best, I really do have the best. This next week will be the start of their last transfer. I bet that’s crazy for them.

I think the most interesting experience I had this week was going to a catholic church. It was incredibly interesting. It was so different and now I know why everyone is always finds it so different when they walk into our churches doors. I have a lot of appreciation for the church this week. Yes, I am so grateful for the Gospel, but I am also so grateful for the organization of the church. I love that we meet in modest, heated buildings. I love that we stay around and chat. I love that we have personal connections with the other people we see in church. I love that we have programs for the youth and children. I just love it.

This week we had my first tausch (splits) here in Augsburg. Well after being in the area for 4 weeks, I got to go to and fro to a ton of appointments. Well they all fell out, in one day. BUT people have their agency. I just hope we will be able to make contact with them and continue on.

This week we had dinner with a member and one of her friends. IT WAS SO COOL. Also, its so not threatening. The members know how to do it! Just invite the missionaries, we have a chat about why we are here and BOOM. Missionary work in its finest. Its all about the members.

We visited the vegan restaurant again. Its owned by less actives, and has the best food. I could seriously eat there everyday. Great way to contact busy less actives :)

We do a sportabend every week. That means a night where we play sports. We had a great turn out. It’s such a great way to invite people to come, have fun, and see the church!

This week President and Sister Miles called us with a special little assignment. We will be organizing a musical fireside for the stake. We will be teaching the restoration by music, before you freak out, don’t worry, I am not singing. I just get to do the business part of it. SWEET. We are working really hard but its actually a BIG project. But sister smith and I are VERY excited about it. It should be a blast!! :)

Well that’s that.
Have a great week!
Love ya!
